Summary of the issue:
I have seen this posted in previous versions of the app but it is happening to me in version 5.4.3. When Deck 2 is playing Deck 1 play button will not work. If Deck 2 is not playing Deck1 play will work. It randomly started happening and I can’t get it to work again correctly. I haven’t found a work around. Ordered a new usb-c to usb b cable for testing but not here yet.

How to reproduce the issue:

Hi @bcobra, welcome to the Community! thanks for the details about your setup and the issue - this is very helpful!

  1. Are you using the (built-in) MIDI mapping or a custom edit?
  2. Did you download and install the latest ASIO Drivers from Reloop? Reloop Ready - Reloop
  3. How exactly are you connecting the Ready to your Surface Pro? What USB port on the Ready are you using? Are you using any hubs or USB adapters?
  4. Is your Surface Pro also connected to power and charging normally?
  5. Since this sounds repeatable, can you please capture and share a short video of the issue to help illustrate what’s happening? Thanks!

Hi @bcobra, thanks for the additional info and video. I suspect this is a connection issue with your existing cables/adapters. I’ve witnessed similar issues that were solved with proper USB cables. I highly recommend you try with a high quality USB-B to C cable with dual ferrites on either end. I personally use the Chroma Cables from DJ TechTools.

I have used several different cables and setups now and still experience the same thing. This just randomly started happening while playing. It is weird because holding shift and play will work as intended but play alone will not

Thanks for the update @bcobra. Can you please test with a different DJ app so we can rule out a hardware issue? If the same problem occurs with a different DJ app then it’s likely some kind of hardware issue. Thanks.

Looks like a hardware issue that just randomly started while using the app. I tried with Serato and on a different laptop/w cable and got the same results

Definitely sounds like a hardware issue based on that. Thanks for checking @bcobra. I recommend you reach out to Reloop support or the shop you purchased it from. I hope that helps!

Thanks for your help. For now, I just mapped the Mode button (currently not mapped in Djay) to Play and it works

You’re welcome @bcobra. Sounds like a good workaround for now.
