Remane files on itunes automatically convert files from aif into textedit format.

When i tried to transfer a recorded file from my iphone 5c to my MacBook Pro, i rename the file on iTunes on the transfer screen (from phone to mac) and its turning all the files from aif to TextEdit.
Does anyone knows hoe to fix this issue?

Please try the following:

  1. open Finder

  2. open the “Preferences” from the “Finder” menu

  3. go to “Advanced”

  4. enable “Show all filename extensions”

  5. then go to your recording and rename it to e.g. recording.aif (so just include the file extension “.aif”)
