Remove Songs from Queue when played

  • Device model iPad Air 5th Gen)*:
  • Version of operating system IOS
  • Version of djay 5.2.5
  • Hardware/controllers used Denon Prime Go:

I had approx 80 songs in my queue list.
I was trying to gauge how long the battery would last with the Prime Go running on battery mode so I started Auto play and had it go through my queue list.
I have Remove Songs from Queue when played switched off yet at the end of the Automix experiment, all the songs I had in my Queue list were removed.

Any explanation on how this happened?

Hi @maurizio_T, this sounds unusual. Are you able to replicate this behaviour or was it a one off? What music source were you using?

Music source was my own music from the Local Music folder…
I have had this Queue list for around 2 years as I had treated it initially as a Playlist before discovering the My Collection function.

Yes I was able to replicate it multiple times on two seperate iPads, one connected to the Prime Go the other not connected to anything to any controller and running Djay in the app itself.

I just tried it on my iPhone and the same thing happens.

I also tried doing the same thing this time using songs in one of my Playlists in My Collection but this time the songs weren’t removed…
In only appears to affect the Queues list

I have never used Automix before so I have never encountered this issue but just found it curious.
I couldn’t find any other setting preventing this from happening other than the Remove Songs from Queue When Played which I have unchecked in all the devices.

Try the experiment and see if it you can replicate it as well

Thanks for the additional info @maurizio_T. Can you please try updating one of your devices to 5.2.7 to see if the issue persists?

Will do right now and report back

Ok I just updated and tried it again,
It still removes the songs once played, I only tried it with 3 songs but I would say it would do it to all of them,

Have you tried doing it on your phone to see if it happens as well?

Okay, thanks for checking. Strange. Tested on my iPhone and iPad. Songs are not removed from the Queue when using Automix or when playing them normally.

Are you sure you have it turned Off?

Yes that option is checked off and they aren’t removed when I play them normally.

Oh well I don’t use Automix anyway so no biggie for me but it was strange to see…

Thanks again for trying Slak and Merry Christmas

Very strange. Can you please try to capture a short video of the issue, upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? I’d like to pass this onto engineering to see if they can replicate it. Thanks!

You’re welcome and Merry Christmas to you as well @maurizio_T
