Reordering playlists on iPad crashes 5.2.6

  • Device model: iPad Air M1
  • Version of operating system: latest
  • Version of djay: 5.2.6
  • Hardware/controllers used: N/A

Dragging and dropping playlists to reorder them crashes the app on iOS. The playlist sequence is preserved after the start.

How to reproduce the issue:

Hi @Kaloyan, thanks for the details about your setup and the issue - this is very helpful! I was not able to reproduce this on my setup. Can you please try to capture a short video of the issue, upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? Thanks!

@Kaloyan can you please also send me you djay user ID and email address in a DM so we can look at your crash report? Thanks!

Thanks for looking at it!

Not related to the View mode (HW/Pro/4 decks). It does it consistently.

Mail/user ID sent in a PM.

You’re welcome @Kaloyan. Engineering was able to access your crash reports and replicate the issue. I’ll report back here when I have more news. Thanks!

These are very good news, thanks!

Is it a corner case with my data specifically, or it’s indeed a broadly applicable issue?

You’re welcome. I’m not sure. I have not been able to reproduce it myself and there have been no other user reports of issues so it seems to be an isolated edge case.

Hi again @Kaloyan. Can you please upload your djay Media Library database file to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to it in a DM? Thanks!

I’ve sent you a link to a GDrive folder that has it.

But since that’s an Edge case only reproducible with an instance of a corrupted library, it’s not a big deal. I have backups, which I see as working fine and can use them.

Feel free to leave this issue aside. Both you & R&D have more important and valuable things to work on than an edge case of a corrupted library, if I may suggest.

Thanks for looking at it!

Sounds good @Kaloyan. I’ve passed it onto the team anyway. I’ll consider this topic closed then.
