Your question:

in the screenshot of the mac finder window there’s artwork in the mp3 but in Djay the artwork is not showing. Thanks!

First of all that’s not an MP3. It clearly says M4A.

Second, Apple/iTunes is well known for storing the artwork separate to the file i.e. it’s not embedded.

Thanks PKtheDJ. I remember itunes having the artwork separate and sometimes the Artist and Genre tag are missing too. Interestingly with the same M4A Rekordbox (ios and mac) can display the Artwork okay.

Mac Ventura 13.6.7

Album artwork not appearing fairly often (about 25% of my collection).
Not time based; it simply never shows up in the first place.

  2. What is the source of music (ex. TIDAL, Apple Music Streaming, Local mp3, etc.)?
  3. If local music, are the files stored on device, on an external drive or on a network drive?

Thanks for the additional info @djantona. The engineering team has still not been able to replicate this issue. To help troubleshoot this further, can you please upload a few of the affected files to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the file(s) here or send it to me in a DM?
