SAMPLING RATE 88200 HZ 96000 HZ (And 192000 Hz) Stems problem

V5.2.8 : Neural mix still doesn’t support 88200, 96000, 176400, 192000 Hz

Hi @Olivier_Frappier, yes the team is still working on this as mentioned above. I’ll share news here when it’s been implemented. Thanks!

Still in 5.2.9 update

Hi @Olivier_Frappier, our team is still working on this. I will share news here when things change. Thanks!

Still doesn’t work in 5.2.10, don’t understand why it’s so hard to fix…

Subject: DJAY Version 5.3 – Still No Support for 88.2 kHz / 96 kHz / 192 kHz Stems

Hi team,

I’m very surprised and disappointed to see that DJAY Version 5.3 still doesn’t support Stems playback at 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, or 192 kHz (noisy STEMS/ corrupted STEMS quality). Currently, it only works at 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, which is quite limiting.

It’s incredible that DJAY is the only DJ software that doesn’t support these higher sample rates for Stems. Other DJ and pro audio software solutions fully support high-resolution audio formats.

I use DJAY PRO with an Antelope Audio interface, and I need 96 kHz support, because all my audio routing, processing, and production on my Mac Mini are configured at 96 kHz. I don’t want to downsample or compromise the quality of my signal chain just to use your software.

Why haven’t your engineers fixed this yet?
What makes it so difficult to implement?

This limitation is holding back professional users who rely on high-resolution audio setups. Please consider prioritizing this in an upcoming update.

Best regards,

Olivier W. Frappier

Of course the stems are noisy. They’re separated using heavy processing and filtering. You’re not going to get studio quality even if they could play back at 192kHz.

If you don’t want to compromise quality then don’t use artificially separated stems.

What are the source files? Are they recorded at 96kHz?

Hi team,

I’m very surprised and disappointed to see that DJAY Version 5.3.1 still doesn’t support Stems playback at 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, or 192 kHz (noisy STEMS/ corrupted STEMS quality). Currently, it only works at 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, which is quite limiting.

Thanks for continuing to push this topic @Olivier_W_Frappier. I have passed your comments onto the dev team.

Hello,

Many thanks, but :

I would like to insist again because this issue is becoming really inconvenient in daily use:

When using an audio interface set to 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, or 192 kHz, djay Pro cannot process Stems correctly.

In addition, djay Pro automatically forces the audio interface back to 48 kHz upon the next launch, requiring manual re-adjustment of the audio settings every time. This breaks professional workflows and creates unnecessary friction.

All other major DJ software (Serato, Rekordbox, VirtualDJ) fully support higher sample rates up to 192 kHz without any issue, while maintaining Stems and full performance.
Therefore, this issue is specific to djay Pro, which is unfortunate because your platform is otherwise outstanding.

I sincerely ask you to prioritize fixing this problem, because it:

Affects advanced users working with professional audio hardware,

Places djay Pro at a disadvantage compared to the competition,

Forces users to waste time constantly readjusting their audio settings.

Your software is at the forefront of AI-powered mixing, and it is truly amazing.
It is now urgent to fix this bug, at least for the desktop versions on Windows and Mac.

Thank you very much for your attention and for your great work!

Hi again @Olivier_Frappier, thanks for the additional feedback and I understand how important this is to your workflow. The dev team is aware of this any it is a priority. I will pass on your additional comments and get back to you when I have more news. Thanks again!

Subject: Urgent follow-up: High sample rate & Stems bug still unresolved in djay Pro 5.3.2

Hello again,

Thank you for the recent update (5.3.2), but unfortunately, the critical issue I reported has still not been addressed:

  • Stems do not work when using audio interfaces set to 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, or 192 kHz .
  • djay Pro forcibly reverts the sample rate to 48 kHz on every launch, requiring manual adjustments each time.

This behavior continues to break professional workflows and is becoming a serious frustration in daily use. What’s more, all major competitors (Serato, Rekordbox, VirtualDJ) handle these sample rates without issue while supporting Stems.

I have remained patient and constructive, but the lack of progress after multiple requests is extremely disappointing, especially given the high standards djay Pro usually delivers.

If this issue remains unresolved in the next update, I will be forced to demonstrate and document the bug publicly—including a YouTube video showing the clear regression compared to other DJ platforms. I take no pleasure in this, but I believe professional users deserve transparency and reliability.

Once again, djay Pro is an excellent piece of software with innovative AI features, and I would much prefer to showcase it positively.

Please escalate this issue internally and prioritize a fix for the next update on both macOS and Windows.

Thank you for your time,

Olivier

Hi @Olivier_W_Frappier,

Thanks for your message and your ongoing feedback on this – I totally understand where you’re coming from and appreciate your patience.

Just to clarify, support for this is something we’ve been actively working on. It’s worth noting that even if a requested feature isn’t part of a specific update, that doesn’t mean it’s left unaddressed. In this case, the issue has been under development, but needs more time to test and ensure it works reliably across all platforms and different audio interfaces.

While we can’t promise it can be included in the very next update, I’d be happy to share a beta build with you soon so you can help verify that it works smoothly on your specific hardware/software setup.

Thanks again for your feedback – it’s greatly appreciated and helps us continue to improve djay Pro.

Can’t get better than that for support.
