Scratch loop, activate loop after releasing jogwheel

Hello,

Can there be an option to scratch a loop in without the loop automatically quantizing you to stay in the loop if you go outside of the parameters/boundaries? But the loop starts after you let go of the jogwheel? Thank you.

Thanks for the suggestion @E_Flem. Interesting idea. I have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration.

Hi again @E_Flem, do you know of any other product that offers this scratch/loop behavior? Can you please confirm the desired behavior here?

  1. If you release past the end of the loop, nothing happens and the track plays on normally?
  2. If you release before the end of the loop, the track plays normally until it hits the end of the loop then starts looping?
  3. Or do you want playback to snap to the loop beginning if you release the jogwheel anywhere inside the loop?

In a loop I can’t scratch because it will automatically stay in the loop.

I’m asking for it to perform normally but the loop starts at the end of the loop, not quantize to the beginning. That could also be an option

I have the loop turned on, but it is overwritten when I use the jog wheel. Once I let the jog wheel go, the loop starts normally. Once the end of the loop is initialized, the loop starts over.

Also “Scratch Cue Loops” may be a future option. These loops can be based on this usage. Once you hit the “Scratch Cue Loop” button it starts once you scratch the loop cue, and once you let go of the jogwheel the loop and song starts.

Or to go even further for those novice DJs starting, if you hold the “Scratch Cue Loop,” the AI will scratch the loop and once you let go of the button the loop will begin.

To help me better understand, can you please try to capture a short video, upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? Thanks!
