Even with charger connected after a few mins the screen fades and I have to type in my password pin no to get back to my track. Is there a way to keep the screen lit and keep the programme running continuously?

Auto lock is not switched on!
Sorry thought you were referring to rotation lock. Auto lock was 2 mins. Will give it a try, thanks
have you tried taking auto-lock off?
Settings>General>Auto-Lock>select ‘Never’
yes, altering from 2 mins to ‘Never’ will cure the problem
