Incredibly, I can’t seem to find another post on this, so here we go…
It would be great to have the ability to change the resolution of djay Pro to provide more real estate in which to maneuver. I have a 2012 13" MBP so 1280x800 is the highest the hardware/OS will go.
Perhaps this can be achieved with skins. In Virtual DJ most skins support multiple resolutions. Even if your hardware will only support 1280x800, you can use a skin that is 1440x900 or 1680x1050 to get more real estate. Obviously everything will appear smaller, but to me it’s totally worth the tradeoff!
I have the same MacBook and DJ pro does look a little ‘fat’. It’s workable and I agree a skin would improve the general appearance but I highly doubt anyone at Algoriddim would be willing to go with the idea due its overall worth. I use Serato as well and it looks a lot better on the same MacBook Pro 2012. The thing is as much as I would love to get a later model even 2015 it’s not viable for me or really nessesary. My MBP has just had a new SSD fitted and I reckon it’s good for another 5 years and with continued OS support from Apple it gives me the extra time to save I suppose. Just have to live with the marshmallow man at Algoriddim for now.
