New user here - i’ve reassigned the ‘backspin function’ to the letter ‘b’ on my keyboard and it’s set up to trigger via ‘selected deck’. It’s not working though on either deck -
now the ‘b’ key command just triggers a the mac os default error fx noise coming out of my laptop speakers and no backspin?
I am using the Numark DJ2GO2 controller and the cross fader seems to make no difference in this equation ?
kind thanks for your input / suggestion - AMAZING SOFTWARE
Thanks for joining the Algoriddim Community and for posting this question.
I’ve reported this issue when selecting “Selected Deck” as a Target in the Keyboard Shortcuts to our developers. They’ll work on a solution for this as soon as possible. We kindly ask for your patience.
Have you tried setting the Target to “Deck1/2” instead of “Selected Deck”? That should work.
I’ll personally hit you up as soon as this is solved.
Thank you for helping us improve djay. If you have any questions or suggestions, or if you would like further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
thank you Guillermo and yes it works with deck 1/2 selected, selected deck functionality seems to be the larger issue as naturally it applies to a fair bit of allocated functionality and does not seem to function as related to louder track or crossfader as I understand it would.
Meantime i’ve gone with ‘b’ on the laptop keyboard as backspin for deck on and CMD+b as assigned to the same function for deck two. Seems a pretty straight forward work around
Wow ok thank you, seriously investing into DJ Pro AI now having gone back
to back with Serato over a few weeks
It’s just far better software in almost every way
The main advantage of Serato remaining is the availability to edit tags
across ‘crate’ based playlists which encompass both tidal streaming based
tracks along with local or cloud based Mp3 and WAV files
This is vital to really get the most from sets from my perspective and a
feature I can see the DJ pro community cheering for
Once that’s integrated it’s game over hands down DJ Pro has it nailed on
all fronts as I see it on the software side
