I’ve been trying to wire up my MIDI controller to djay for Mac, and it’s a really great simple process! However, I wanted to save on mapping two sets of controls by using the “Selected Turntable” option. However, it seems that whichever turntable is playing and cross-faded to, only the left turntable is affected by the controls.
How do I make the right turntable the Selected Turntable while it is playing?
How do I know which is the selected turntable, does one of them highlight? I assumed that the selected turntable was the currently playing/crossfaded one… Wouldn’t that make more sense?
okay, thanks. How will I know which is the selected turntable using your method? Also, as a suggestion, wouldn’t it be useful to have controls that react to the currently *highlighted* turntable, i.e. the one that is currently playing? Anyway I know I’d find that useful with my small controller
Not really I’m afraid, Warren’s suggestion is a workaround, but doesn’t work great for me on a small controller. I would love a way of controlling the effects on the currently playing (highlighted) turntable, rather than the selected one. My solution turned out to be buying a better controller!
Not necessarily, imagine that you want to prepare a song before fading in.
I’m afraid you just need to remember OR you could map 2 buttons to select a specific turntable. Then you can make sure to have the correct turntable by pressing either one of the buttons.
