In the session section of My Collection. Perhaps remove “DJ SET” since this app is self-explanatory anyway.
This means the date + time would be easier to spot/read in iOS.
This also happens on other platforms; at least on macOS it’s the same, so I assume the rest behave similarly. Because of that, you might want to edit the post categories.
That said, you’ve got my vote. It seems like a detail that’s easy to overlook, but if you think about it, the term “DJ set” isn’t really relevant.
However, rather than voting to remove “DJ set”, I would suggest adding the option to:
• remove it completely so only the date is shown (as originally requested)
• set a custom predefined text in the settings
• edit it quickly from My Collection: right-click (or long press on touch-enabled platforms) → rename
I hope I’ve explained myself clearly.
Sorry @PoyTB for jumping into your post. I’ve already voted.
Thanks for the suggestion @PoyTB. I’ll share this with the devs for consideration.
I vote to leave the naming - as is.
Historical DJ Sets can be exported to My Collection and Apple Music and the text “DJ Set” makes it super clear what it is. Plus, naming the playlist with just the date, makes a lot of extra work, after the fact.
There are better solutions for all this (like being able to name the exports), but in the meantime, since we don’t have any control of the export, I prefer to keep the text “DJ Set” in the names, so that when I export them, it’s super obvious what they are.
That’s exactly why the option I suggested in my post is valid for different scenarios.
@Albert_Maro Not at all bro. your extra explanation and suggestions are on point.
I meant to have just the date.
But having the ability to set a custom predefined text in the settings would be a way to go.
For my case, as i don’t exported like Michael’s case (only to csv), having to go to each one to find out the hour timestamp is tedious. eg i might prep the set on the day, do multiple sets a night at different time slot/venue, and after hours muck around with my friends etc. This happens quite regularly.
Thanks for the additional input everyone.
