Great history lesson from the great Rob Swift. He talks about how Grand Wizzard Theodore stumbled upon scratching:
Theodore is slightly younger than me, and I got to thinking “what 12 year old in 1975 has two turntables and a mixer in their room?” plus the legendard Technics MK2 wasn’t around until 1979.
Turns out his older brother Mean Gene was a DJ (worked alongside Flash) and taught Theodore, so the kit wasn’t Theodore’s.
