This just happened out of nowhere last night, been going in circles with ChatGPT so thought I’d come here instead. I can load up a track, streaming from Soundcloud and it runs slow in dJay - BPM is correct, tempo slider is dead centre etc and I load up the same track from the same source in Serato and it’s fine.

Since this sounds repeatable, can you please capture and share a short screen recording of the issue to help clarify what’s happening? Thanks!
Hi, sorry for the previous lack of info. Hopefully I’ve included everything you need now. I realised something else while playing around with it again this morning.. I can hold cue to play the track and at this point the platter isn’t spinning, but when I press play and the platter engages, this is when the audio goes slow.
Device Model: Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12450H
Version of operating system: Windows 11 Home 25H2
Version of djay: 5.6.5875.0

Hardware Firmware Version: 1.88, but then it also says “TOP: 1.24” DRIVER: 5.9.1.0
No problem @MrSundayMixtape. Thanks for the additional info and video. There are some well know issues with the Windows 11 25H2 release. Please refer to the linked topic below for some potential workarounds and guidance:
If you’re still experiencing issues after trying both options below, please let me know.
- Uninstalling the KB5074105, KB5077181 and KB5077241 Windows updates in Settings > Windows Update > Update History > Uninstall Update. (full description here on the VirtualDJ page: VirtualDJ - VDJPedia - Win11-KB5074105)
- Restarting the MIDI service: Exit the application, plug in the device, and restart the MIDI service as described below:
A. Close all MIDI apps
B. Open Windows Terminal as an Administrator (“run as administrator”)
C. Type*net stop midisrv
D. After that completes, type*net start midisrv
E. Start up the app you want to use with MIDI
Also, can you please double check your djay version? That does not match our latest official public release 5.6.2?
My dJay version was indeed 5.6.2 - I didn’t have update KB5074105, so I tried the MIDI restart first. This didn’t work, so then I uninstalled KB5077181 which the VirtualDJ forum page also pointed to as a problem update. This has solved the problem, thank you so so much. Maybe I’ll get a MacBook lol..
Excellent! You’re welcome @MrSundayMixtape. Happy to help.
