Slow Track Loading & Beat Grid Editing Issues

Hi there all…

All has been going superbly with my Djay Pro AI since it was released… even last night I did a DJ set and I was actively editing track beat grids (set grid start here) and loading in tracks (at speed), but today when I started up my MacPro 12 Core (Mid 2010) with 1TB SSD, 128GB RAM running macOS Mojave 10.14.6, the loading of tracks has become excruciatingly slow even though I have a 1GB Fibre to the home internet connection… also… when I see a beat grid not landing on the beat correctly and I go to change it, nothing happens any more, it won’t work. I do some of my own troubleshooting… I went over to my MacBook Pro 2017 with TouchBar and 16GB RAM running macOS Big Sur 11.2.3 and everything is working as it should be… so it can’t be the software or TIDAL.

My question is… can I delete the app and have no fear that important info won’t be deleted and re-install again… and could that fix my issues… I have an app called CleanMyMacX that will delete all related files… and that’s what I use to cleanly dispose of any apps giving me issues. I know there is a dedicated folder for the Track Analysis data plus playlists etc… I have that as a backup…

What is the best way to try and fix this as I have a live DJ set to perform this Saturday 27th March.

Anthony

I have completed the full uninstall as I suggested and no change… tracks still slow to load into their nominated decks and Set Grid Start still not working… I’m really worried now as to what is going on… any help or suggestions…?

Anthony

Update… Set Grid Start working on some tracks and not on others… very strange. Track loading still at a snails pace.

Any similar user experiences…?

Update… Set Grid Start working on all tracks… just excruciatingly slow compared to the way it was before. So really… all does work… but track analysis and grid editing… all very slow for some strange reason… any suggestions…? anyone…?

Anthony

Emergency over… I re-installed a combo version of macOS Mojave and all is back working as it was now.

Hey @CreativeAnto,
