Your question:

I’m using Mixon 8 pro with Ipad, Djay Software. I want to do the snare roll or drum roll effect, that one use it in the build up

Hi @Ramon_Rodriguez_Clar, welcome to the Community! You could do this in a few different ways, but probably the Bounce Loops would work the best. I’ve shared a screenshot from iOS, it it should be pretty similar on macOS.

You might also want to experiment with some of the manual FX like Handsup, Jet Stream and Looper.

This weekend, I noticed a lot of DJs using an effect in their build-ups that sounds like a snare or kick being repeated continuously, gradually increasing in speed and intensity until the drop. It creates a rising tension, making the transition into the drop even more powerful. I’d love to know the best way to replicate this effect in djay by Algoriddim. Any tips?

Also, I wanted to ask if it’s possible to do the bounce effect while keeping the music playing.

I’m using the Mixon 8 Pro, and I’ve noticed something strange with the crossfader and channel faders. When I raise a channel fader, the sound only starts coming in at level 7, and it gets very loud instantly. Below that level, there’s no sound at all, almost as if there’s a setting causing this behavior. Is this normal, or is there a way to adjust it?

Hi again @Ramon_Rodriguez_Clar, it really sounds to me like either of the suggestions I shared above will achieve the result you are looking for. I would test them out for yourself and practice to get the timing right. Yes, the music will keep playing underneath when using Bounce Loops. Again, just try is out for yourself to see.

Regarding your Mixon 8 Channel Faders, this sounds like an issue with the hardware. There is no setting in djay for the Channel Fader Curve. We only have adjustments for the Crossfader Curve which can be found in the djay Settings>Sound>MIXER>Crossfader Curve.
I recommend that you download and install the latest Mixon 8 Pro firmware from Reloop to see if that fixes the issue. If not, please reach out to Reloop Support for more assistance.
