Your question:
I noticed on my Reloop elite I can keep the “start playback” button unchecked, but if I have a song already running on the deck, if I load a song into the same deck it will auto start, but if the deck is paused, it won’t play. I find this an awesome feature especially for wedding intros to be able auto load a song for individual couples, but when it comes time for first dance, as long as the song is paused it won’t auto start, giving me an extra level of control. Unfortunately for my ddj1000srt (the controller I use on mobile events) it seems to be an all or nothing. I’m wondering why for the 1000srt I can’t do that, and if anyone else has had this issue.
Hi @jmoak311, are you using turntables with the Reloop Elite? When using turntables/DVS, djay respects the playback state of the physical deck and bypasses the Start playback setting. Because if a DVS turntable is paused it wouldn’t make sense to trigger playback on song load. I hope that makes sense.
Yes. I’m noticing it on my Rane 12’s. I really like that it does that. I wish it did it for my ddj1000srt. Just been part of my workflow on serato the last 10 years. Only really useful for me personally when doing intros at weddings.
Thanks for confirming @jmoak311. That explains the difference then. I have passed this onto the dev team to consider adding more options in the Song Loading Settings: Start Playback, Pause Playback and Respect Current Playback State. I’ll let you know here if this feature gets implemented in the future. Thanks!
You guys are great! Using djay pro for the first time out in the wild next weekend! I never thought I’d switch from Serato but you guys have just been so innovative.
Thanks for the positive feedback @jmoak311. Always appreciated! I’ll pass this onto the rest of the team.
