When auto analyze miscalculates a songs BPM, in my case the BPM posted is correct but the song plays at double the speed, I tried manually editing BPM and input the correct BPM in straight mode along with correcting the beat grid with no success. The only way I was able to get the song to play at the proper speed was to Edit BPM in straight mode at double the speed, then adjust the tempo to the proper speed, but you will have to adjust the tempo every time you load the track

- Can you please capture and share a short video of this issue so I can see the exact song you’re having issues with? I’d like to try to replicate this on my end.
- Please also share a screenshot of your djay Settings>Library>BPM Analysis page.
Thanks!
I’ve just had the same issue today, a minority modified version of a track plays double speed, but the original plays normally. Both have played fine for years. Only found this today but not used DJAY for a couple of months and not played this track for a year or so.

dJay V5.4.2
Screenshot showing the two versions side by side - note the track time difference.
Tried playing all the other tracks in this directory and only one other does the same; “The Greatest Show”.
Second post as I can only add one image each post as a new member
BPM analysis page as they are now, they were ‘none’ and ‘auto’ before, only difference seems to be the reported BPM.
One more to come…
Final one…
Also returning settings to original, I reanalysed the track and track time is showing correctly but BPM is now double normal.
Still plays fast

Sorry for the delayed reply. Thanks for the screenshots and videos @Keithgrif and @Noble. I’ve shared this with our engineering team to see if they can replicate the issue. I’ll report back when I have news. Thanks!
Hi @Keithgrif, can you please share the “Another Way To Die” tracks (both the edited and unedited version) so we can try to reproduce this on our end?
@Noble if you could also share some specific tracks that you’re having issues with that would help in our troubleshooting. Thanks!
Sorry, been out of touch a while. Here are the tracks…
Thanks for the tracks @Keithgrif. I’ve shared these with engineering for further review.
Hi @Keithgrif, thanks again for the files. We’ve discovered that this seems to only happen with audio files recorded in mono instead of stereo. The team is investigating further. In the meantime, please try using only stereo recorded files and let me know if the issue persists. Thanks!
