Sorting music by multiple columns(parameters)

Would be nice to be able to sort the music by multiple columns:
f.e. - BPM + KEY; BPM + KEY + Date added; Date added + genre etc.
for me I’m using custom field as my primary as a bypass since bpm+key cannot be selected at the same time currently, but still this functionality would be nice. I couldn’t remember if I suggested this before or not, sorry

Yes really need to copy Rekordbox here. The user can choose what colums are important. For example I have # (order of songs that I can re-arrange), then title, then artist, then BPM, then KEY, then time, then my Star rating. And if I scroll, I can see album, comments, and more info such a “color” rating, date added etc times played. Very easy to search for something when you have that data at your fingertips. Library management in Algoriddm is severely lacking unfortunately!

FYI This was suggested here as well.

Hey, could we add a Sort by BPM, Key, and more sorting options? I know we have filters, but it would be much better if we could click to sort by BPM, Key, Genre, Color, Year, etc. Serato offers this but only allows sorting by two (BPM and Key). Right now, my filters are set up, but they take up too much screen space.

I’ve been looking through the manual and the forum and haven’t found the answer: is it possible to sort a playlist by two criteria at once, for example by musical key and by BPM, like you can do in Serato? Thanks in advance.

Hi @DjLemart, please use search before creating new topics. I have merged your new topic with this existing one.

In case you are not familiar with the feature, djay does have the ability to use multiple Filters on a playlist.

Also, here’s another related topic specifically to BPM + Key sorting: Secondary Column Sorting - Bpm & Key - #10 by SpinThis

Hi, thanks for the suggestion but that wasn’t what I was asking for… I know I can filter by BMP and then to add another filter for a certain key, but that’s not the point: In Serato, if you order by BMP and you press COMMAND+click on a second row (i.e. Key), it shorts the playlist in that order, not just a single Key as the filter.

DJ Lemart

You’re welcome @DjLemart. Understood. In that case, please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page or in the other topic that I linked above. Thanks!

This is a workaround, that I’m using for a year now. I use a sorting by comment - where I put the key and BPM like this. Hope this is helpful
