Sound become saturated suddenly

Hi everybody,

Hello everyone,
From time to time (maybe once a month) I have sound issues. Suddenly it becomes saturated with crackling.
I restart DJay Pro and the problem is solved…
What do you think?

I’m attaching a video.

Hi @Yan, are you using an Aggregate Audio setup? For example, are you splitting the audio output with the main output routed to your Mac speakers and the headphone cueing routed to your DJ controller? Or alternatively, headphone cueing with your Mac headphones socket and master output through speakers connected to you DJ controller?

Hi thanks for your quick response

I’m like this . Not sure to really understand what you ask

Then this is where your issue is most likely coming from @Yan. Splitting the Master output and Pre-Cueing across 2 devices creates an aggregate audio device setup. While aggregating audio devices usually works fine, some combinations of audio devices can be unreliable e.g. if they don’t support the same sample rates or if their clocks cannot be brought in sync.

That being said you can try adjusting the settings in the “Audio MIDI Setup” system app to see if that helps:

  1. While djay is running and configured with an aggregate device, select the “Aggregate-Audio-Device” device in the “Audio Devices” window of Audio MIDI Setup.
  2. Try disabling “Drift Correction” for one or both devices that are being aggregated.
  3. Try adjusting the sample rate of the aggregate device.
  4. Try changing the “clock source” of the aggregate device.
  5. If that doesn’t solve your issue, I recommend that you send both the Master and Pre-Cueing audio to the same device.

Thanks a lot .

I will try to let you know but it’s not happening often. I said one time per month but maybe it’s less : 4 times in a year .

Thanks a lot for your responsiveness and for all the very good work you are doing on this forum.

All this huge work is done with a lot of kindness :face_blowing_a_kiss:
