On the website is mentioned that soundquality is 320 kb/s. But in the forum they speak about 96 kb/s soundquality for spotifysongs using in the Djay app?
Can you tell me what is the real soundquality using ipad and Djay 2?
Sincerly, Gunter

Please understand that we cannot offer you any legal advices of any kind. I recommend consulting with Spotify support or with a lawyer.
On the side, as far as I know, you have the same legal restrictions even when you buy a CD.
it is 96kb/s, Warren said they would look into giving us the option to change the quality in Djay’s settings in a future update.
Right now they are set to stream at the recommended setting for mobile, which is 96 kbs and even if you change it in your Spotify app, it does not change in Djay as one app doesn’t affect the other.
We can’t even get an answer on whether or not it is even legal to DJ with Spotify outside of your bedroom. You know, for public performances.
So it can’t be used, quality is not enough to use it as a DJ!!!
I directly noticed it was lower quality at my home system, please let us choose the quality. +1 for this feature
+1 for the possibility to choose 320 kbps (extreme)
Do it!
???
Warren could you please tell us what is exactly the problem?
Warren, can you advise on the quality of normal songs, i.e. if I buy songs at 320kps, will the app reduce the quality, or is it just for spotify?
Hi there,
You can set the sound quality of Spotify songs in the djay Library settings to 320 kbps.
Hope this is helping.
If you have any questions or suggestions, or if you would like further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Is there any further update on this? Is 96 still the best sound quality for spotify tracks?
Hi Lukas,
Thanks for the reply! When I go to the library settings I dont see an option to amend the sound quality.
Update: I found the setting in the ipad setting, not within the app. I am all good now!
Thanks!
