Spotify album art not loading

Macbook Pro 2021 on Sequoia latest, iphone 15 on ios 26 latest.

latest djay version on desktop and iOS

Spotify artwork is no longer loading on either of my devices - have logged out and restarted app etc to no avail. Hope this can be fixed

Just checked on my iPhone 15 pro max and same issue. Might be a Spotify server issue. Least it’s a repeatable thing that can be looked into.

Can confirm same issue here. iPadOS 26.2, M1 iPad pro. Worked 2 days ago but now no artwork is loading on a stable, high-speed internet connection. I have taken all basic troubleshooting steps to no avail.

Can confirm that i have the exact same problem on desktop vsn. Artwork from spotify was loading fine, now all artwork is greyed out and i have the generic DJ Pro label. Is this a known bug that is being fixed, artwork was loading fine until two days ago. Cleared cache on spotify etc but no joy.

Hello everyone, this is a know issue that is not isolated to djay (Rekordbox and Serato users reporting this as well). Our teams are investigating further. I’ll share more news when I have it.

Also, welcome to the Community @OhKnow and @Matthew_Pigott!

Great - thanks for the feedback @Slak_Jaw

You’re welcome @Matthew_Pigott

Guys Spotify isn’t a good company I would recommend transfering your playlists to another service.

Spotify’s business model actively devalues DJs and artists by paying low royalties while removing DJ integrations entirely when they no longer align with its platform control strategy (It happened before). It also has no offline mode and blocks Stems. By contrast, TIDAL, Beatport, Beatsource, and Apple Music support high-quality audio, DJ-specific licensing, offline performance, and ecosystems designed around professional use rather than consumer lock-in. Spotify is built for passive listening; the others are built for performance, reliability, and respect for DJs as professionals.

I already have beatsource and beatport but I use Spotify for requests. It’s quick and I’ve never been let down.

I currently also use all but one of the services you mentioned, but I do appreciate the slightly condescending and off-topic input.

Just a quick update everyone. This issue has been reported on Rekordbox and Serato as well so it’s not an issue with djay. We have reported this to Spotify and they are investigating.

Hello everyone,

I no longer have any covers in my Spotify library. This is the case on MAC, Windows, and iOS.

Does anyone else have the same problem? I can’t find anything about it anywhere.

Best regards

Hi @snoopy5707, welcome to the Community! Please use search before creating new topics. I have merged your new topic with this existing one. Please see above. Thanks!

I am experiencing an issue where album cover artwork does not display for Spotify tracks in djay Pro. The songs appear in the library with titles and artist names, but the cover art does not load in the browser or on the decks.

I have already tried all recommended troubleshooting steps, including restarting the app and device, reinstalling djay Pro, checking view and artwork settings, and logging out and back into Spotify. The issue persists.

This seems to be specific to Spotify content, as artwork does display correctly for other supported music sources. Please clarify whether this is a known limitation of Spotify integration or if there is an upcoming fix or change planned.

Thank you for your time and support.
