i have an iPhone 6 and I wanted to know if it is possible to still use the “spotify connect” function from the iPhone to the mac. Basically controlling the music from the DJay 2 app on the iPhone and hearing it played on Spotify on my Mac, just like regularly with Spotify connect.

Unfortunately, this feature is not supported by djay.

To be clear, you are asking if you can specify that the audio output of Djay2 from your cell phone, be sent to the Spotify desktop application that is running on your Mac. The two applications are unable to communicate in that way even on the same device/computer let alone remotely. Spotify Connect is exclusive to the Spotify application. However, the solution is to use Airplay in mirroring mode or a bluetooth receiver .
