Spotify Library always reverts to Liked songs

I’m using the latest version of DJAY 5.6.1 on my M4 iPad on iOS 26.2 with a Mixtour Pro and a Xone K3

A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE:

  • Every time I use the browse encoder the selected playlist reverts to the Liked songs playlist which is the first playlist for me. Additionally two playlists are highlighted

B) DETAILED STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Select any song from and playlist and load

  2. Close browser

  3. Open browser

C) EXPECTED RESULTS:

  • Previously selected playlist should be selected

D) ACTUAL RESULTS:

  • Liked songs or first playlist is selected

Hi @rishi, I have deleted the second issue from this topic as it appears you might be using the Private 5.6.2 Beta. Please instead share this feedback from within the beta app, the TestFlight app or via the Beta Feedback email. Thanks!

Regarding the first issue, I was able to reproduce this on my iPad and have passed this onto our engineering team for further review.

@Slak_Jaw I don’t have beta access. Maybe a typo on my part. I am waiting for the 5.6.2 release because you said it fixes the drag and drop issue. Must have been thinking about that!

Ah okay! Thanks for clarifying @rishi.

I noticed this the other day too but without using an external controller. I’m also on Djay 5.6.1 on my M1 iPad Air which is on iPadOS 18.7.

Thanks for sharing @BillPayer

Hi @rishi and @BillPayer, engineering has identified the issue and is working on a fix which should be included in an upcoming update (likely 5.6.2). Thanks!

Hi again @rishi and @BillPayer, can you please confirm if this only happens when using a MIDI controller? Thanks!

For me this happens when I’m not using a midi controller. If I move away from the browser view and then go back, it always defaults to Liked Songs.

Thanks for confirming @BillPayer

Same. Reverts back to liked songs with no midi controller attached.

Thanks for confirming @rishi

When using an iPad mini in horizontal waveform view (full-screen waveforms, no split-screen playlist), I’ve encountered a library navigation issue specific to Spotify.

While a Spotify track is playing, turning the song selection knob should ideally keep focus on the current playlist. Instead, the selection defaults to the very first playlist in my Spotify library. This behavior does not occur when using Beatsource; it only happens with Spotify.

Please see the attached video for a demonstration of the issue.

You’ll notice that my first song is in the “Scratch Beats” playlist, when the song selection knob is used, it changes out of the current playlist and goes to the first playlist in Spotify. Not ideal and replicated several times as a repeatable issue.

Please advise.
