If I understand correctly, the BPM analysis of djay works dynamically right now, assuming tracks with non-constant bpm. However I think this implementation is causing more troubles with tracks with a constant bpm but non-beat ambient breaks. “Another Girl” by Jacques Greene, “Can’t Do Without You (Extended Mix)” by Caribou are typical examples.
I think this problem can be easily solved by adding a switch forcing static BPM per song. Even a global setting will be helpful enough for some users…
