Stem and pad reassignment

I was wondering if it’s possible to reassign some of the pads functions like in Serato. In Serato you can reassign your sampler pads to work as stem effect pads which will kill vocal, drum, etc but also have the lower pads function as stem effects like vocal and echo out, drum echo out etc. This way you can trigger them on the fly thru the pads instead of going thru the effects and try to replicate it to a kind of mimic this process. Hi @Manriquezjose, currently in djay you cannot simply swap entire Pad Modes. You have to remap every button individually for each pad mode. I explain this in more detail in another topic:

Hi @TheSouthernDJ, there is no quick way to swap pad modes like this. Essentially, you need to re-map each of the 8 pads for both pad modes. It will take more work using the MIDI Learn tool in djay, but it’s safer than editing XML files if you don’t know what you’re doing: It might be quicker and easier to do this in the XML file with a text editor if you know what you are doing, but I don’t recommend this is you are new to XML files.
