(Pioneer) AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6
Hi ,
Cannot find the answer, so my question is:
Is there a mapping for a AphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 where Stem buttons are programmed, and Stems Trans can be done in stead of drums rolls ?
Hi @boing, I’m not sure that I fully understand your question. The DDJ-GRV6 is now natively supported and plug and play with djay on macOS. See below for how the STEMS section has been mapped.
If you’d like to further customize the MIDI mapping to your liking, it is quite easy to do with the built-in MIDI Learn tool. See below for more details:
What I want to say is, that when I play a song on deck 1,2,3,4… whatever.. I want to press the button Vocal , and the only thing I want to hear is vocal. (I think that is the case of these buttons)
These buttons you show me, are not doing that.. the blank pads below these buttons, are doing this instead. So that’s what I mean that the buttons are not mapped the way as expected.
Hi @boing, it sounds like you are looking for Neural Mix Solo MIDI commands. You can easily modify the existing mapping per the shared guide above. I believe these are the commands you are looking for:
Deck 1>Neural Mix Solo (1…) or Deck 1>Neural Mix Solo Exclusive (1…)
Hm,. it works what you say,.. but it is not the original (GRV6) mapping is it?
Now can I edit everything manually as the way is should be? Vocal must be only Vocal when I push the button, and this looks like it is not mapped.
And what I see more on your screenshot,.. is shows 4 time Mix Solo,.. but what is 1,2,3,4 ?
Then I try I little bit more and see in the list (Neural Mix 4 channels) Neural Mix Solo (4ch Vocals).
Hi @boing, I recommend that you use the Neural Mix Solo (4ch: Vocals) MIDI command. Please note that you will need to MIDI map this for Deck 1, Deck 2, Deck 3 and Deck 4.
