Streaming platform predictions for 2026, 2027, 2028....?

Here is couple of predictions for couple of next year what will happen on music streaming platforms for dj’s.

A) stems, stems and stems..
Eventually we’ll get stems.

B) Off-line locker?
For me, getting 5G additional SIM card is very cheap and I have my own 5G router and my wi-fi always with me. But that’s not the case in all around the world.
So off-line lockers would be the perfect solution.

C) Remove the “private only” restriction globally.
As currently all streaming platforms are basicly for “private use” only, so it’s not actually legal to use streaming platforms as dj’s. What if that limitation would be removed?

What else would you want to completely move to use streaming platforms?

Or how much would you be willing to pay?

Beatport won’t be my choice, as they don’t have all genres I would need.

Prices will fall for subscriptions in the upcoming global recession…djay, streaming platforms, data connections, cloud storage…

The “private only” restriction is the same as for downloads, CDs and vinyl (which also are not authorized for public performance by just buying the music) - in most of the developed world, the venue is responsible for paying the license fees for public performance.

VDJ and RB provide offline storage for tidal at no extra cost so it would be nice for Djay to replicate and not have to pay any extra.
