New PC laptop running Windows
DJ Pro version 1.0.277726.0 - had it for about 3 years
used with Reloop Mixtour controller
Hi folks,
I’ve just bought a new laptop and have migrated all my files to it. My version of DJ Pro loaded automatically with my files so it has been a seamless transition in that respect.
I’ve got a dozen or so music folders synced with DJ Pro. I’m surprised that each they take so long to load (everything is saved on my hard drive so it’s not dependent on the Internet). It seems even slower for the tracks to show up than on my previous laptop. The other pain is that the BPMs don’t seem to display unless I’ve played the entire track now.
As I’ve just switched computer I’m wondering if I need to upgrade/update my version of DJ Pro? Also - daft question but I’m sure I paid for my DJ Pro originally. But when I go into my Microsoft store account it just says “Get” the app, not “upgrade” or anything.
So any insights would be welcome on the following:
Where do I see if I’ve got a paid version of DJ Pro?
Do I ever need to update the software or does it do it automatically? And/or
Do I need to upgrade to a newer version of the app?
Regarding the slow song loading, this is likely because djay has to reanalyze each song when loading them. Please try selecting a single playlist and then Analyze Songs from the drop down menu to see if that helps:
Amazing, thaks so much @Slak_Jaw I appreciate the prompt reply. I feel a bit daft for not clocking the Analyze Songs feature. That has helped.
Great news about the loyalty upgrade. Hopefully that will be straightforward as it will automatically detect that I have a paid legacy version, which I’m certain is the case!
