What is my best approach to switch my Djay pro subscription from windows to apple?
I now have replaced my windows devices and only utilize Djay pro on my MAC computers. When my subscription renewed with Microsoft Apple tried charging me also, so I got double charged on the renewal date. I had to contact apple for a refund.
How can I switch this over to apple and leave the Microsoft license behind? I’d like to have it all under apple and not have licensing issues on renewals!
Is the best approach to wait until near my renewal and try switching then? If so, how would I go about doing it?
Hi @ryruss, there is no need to switch or cancel your existing subscription. A single djay Pro subscription can be used cross-platform on up to 6 devices at once. Just create a My djay Account on your Windows device first then log into your My djay Account in djay on macOS.
You may also need to Restore Purchases on your macOS device after you log into your My djay Account.
Thanks for the feedback but I do not wish to continue with double charging issues upon renewal. I do not wish to keep anything tied to microsoft any longer. I deleted Djay pro from all my windows devices and I no longer wish to have the licensing tied to Microsoft.
What is my best approach to switch my account to apple?
Yes, I already have a djay pro subscription. On my renewal date I am charged through the microsoft license that I originally purchased with. You can tell looking at the subscription in djay pro it’s microsoft, even on my apple devices.
Now that I am on apple devices with djay pro, Apple also attempts to charge a djay pro subscription upon renewal. I want to rid of this, so I am not dealing with doulble charge attempts every year. The best way to fix this in my opinion is switch to apple for the license, since I am on apple devices with it.
Thanks for clarifying @ryruss. I have created an official Support Ticket on your behalf so we can investigate your subscription situation in more detail. Someone for our support team will contact you shortly via email. Thanks!
Hello. I looked back in my apple account charges, and I think I see what happened. Last year August 27th I was charged the $49.99. That is not my renewal date, that is when I purchased a MAC and switched from windows. My renewal date is in January.
So, I think the initial change to MAC prompted a charge from my Apple account. Maybe I will not have issues moving forward but I’m not sure. Just wanted to provide that additional information. Apple did refund me a few days later.
