Sync behavior - pitch bend

Right now in djay, once Sync is on, the deck stays hard-locked to the beatgrid. The problem: sometimes I intentionally pull a track slightly out a little nudge, riding the platter for a manual blend or a subtle push-pull effect. In djay, Sync fights me and snaps it right back into phase, which kills the move.

What I’d love is the way Serato handles it: if you deliberately nudge a synced deck out, it doesn’t force the beats back together. It intelligently drops from full beat sync down to just tempo/BPM sync — so the two tracks stay tempo-matched, but my manual phase offset is preserved until I decide to re-align. Best of both worlds: the safety of tempo lock, without losing manual control over phrasing.

Hi @MisterNuevo, in the djay Settings>General>Sync Mode you can set it to BPM Only.

In sync type ‘BPM and Beats‘ you can achieve this by checking off the ‘resume sync after pause, scratch or cue jump‘.

This way you have exactly what you describe. You have beat sync, but when you pull the track out of phase, it doesn’t snap back, though it keeps the tempo it’s playing.
