Sync issue syncing when not supposed to

Latest djay version

iPad pro latest gen

Hi when I load up a song even without sync on the loaded song syncs to the currently playing songs bpm. Also if I stop playing the current song and load a new song, the previously playing song syncs to the newly loaded songs bpm.

Note both the Resume Sync After Pause, Scratch or Cue Jump and the Maintain Sync on Song Load settings are OFF.

I’ll send videos here

Hi @Ben4, if you disable the Crossfader FX do you still experience this issue?

Please share a screenshot of your djay Settings>General>CROSSFADER FX.

Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!

Sorry Slak

Yes my mistake the crossfader FX were on. Turning them off sorted the
problem.

Thanks again!!

Perfect. Glad that solved it. You’re welcome @Ben4

With the Crossfader FX turned OFF, during an Automix Transition, the volume Jumps Up then Crossfader FX activates then the volume drops back to Normal Volume after transition is Complete. There’s literally No Way to keep CFX from activating as there’s not a “None” Option in the CFX Transition List. I’ve tried EVERY Setting and Disabled All FX and it still comes on without fail when using AutoMix. When are you all going to fix this back to the way it used to be. No Volume Spiking or Forced FX Transitions. There’s WAY Too Many DJs dealing with this at there Gigs without a Solution. There needs to be a “No Transitions” Option that WILL NOT Turn On by Itself. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and get the Same Issue.

Hi @RoDi_Baker_Sr, CFX is required for Automix. These are designed to work in conjunction with each other.

  1. If you want a basic transition with no FX, please set your Automix Tranistion Type to Fade

  2. I recommend that you also check your djay Settings>Sound>MIXER>Crossfader Curve and make sure this is set to Default.

  3. In the Settings>MIDI Devices please make sure Crossfader Cutting Mode is disabled.

  4. Finally, make sure you have Crossfader FX turned Off.
