- Device model : iPad Air 2
- Version of operating system : iOS 15.8.3
- Version of djay : 5.2.8
- Hardware/controllers used : Pioneer DDJ-400
After installing the latest version of djay on ipad the looper no longer syncs with tracks: the bpm are correct, but no the beats.
On the iMac it works as well as before.
With previous versions of djay it worked fine with my iPad.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
thanks and regards
Hi @marco.baldo.ve, I just tested this on my end and was unable to replicate the issue.
- Does this happen with or without your DDJ-400 connected?
- Please close djay and follow the procedure linked below to perform a Forced Restart of your iPad: Force restart iPad - Apple Support
- If the issues persists, can you please try to capture a short video of the issue, upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? Thanks!

Hi again @marco.baldo.ve, thanks for the video. That’s super helpful. I believe the issue is with the beatgrid on the song you are playing. It appears that it is in the wrong place and not properly aligned with the downbeats of the song. Note that the Looper will align with the beatgrid, not the waveform, so the grid needs to be correct. Can you please try with a different song that has a correct beatgrid?
Hi @Slak_Jaw !
Yes, you’re right, this is the issue!
If I try with a song with correct beat grid the looper syncs well!
Sorry I didn’t notice this, I’ll correct the beat grid now: the manual explains well how to do it.
Thank you, DJay is a beautiful app and Algoriddim provides great support!
