Tag colors from macOS on iOS

Using colors in djay on macOS is so convenient. When transferring music from iTunes to the iPad, it’s great to see my HotCues, but it’s not great to see the colors of the songs I played in djay Pro on macOS not showing up.
Djay is great… when will they implement that option?

Hi @LuisCervants, thanks for the suggestion! Good idea. I have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration. In the meantime, please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this feature. Thanks!

Yes, color tags are crucial in my sets, and not having them transfer like the cue points via my iPad—or not having them available at all on the iPad—makes things very challenging. I voted on this one and hope we can get it added soon. :crossed_fingers:

Thanks for the additional input and vote @Mear

I want to write why this is critically important!!! When I play with an iPad mini, the font is very small… and when you have more than 100 tracks in your playlist, it’s easy to find them when they are color-coded! This is a popular method of labeling tracks!!! I really ask you to add this feature!

Thanks for the additional input @Polyura. I will share this with the dev team.

No need to yell @Alexseyn_Rodrigues. Also, please use search before creating new topics. I’ve merged yours with this existing one. Please vote above. Thanks!

Only 22 votes so far? :frowning: Is it possible that this feature might be added with this many votes?

Hi @LuisCervants, the decision to implement a specific suggestion is not entirely based on the number of votes. So, yes it’s possible this could be implemented with this number of votes.

Adding another vote here - having the ability to sync color along with cue points is very essential. For me, I use colour to demarcate vibe/purpose of a track and allows me to mix genres very easily on a laptop. But on iOS when I’m mixing on location with an iPad or iPhone with a simplified controller, that color overlay missing means I have to rely on looking at a title and memorizing key elements. Hopeful this is possible to achieve since cue points are metadata that carry over from Beatport Streaming tracks (which is a game changer) and made me switch platforms to Djay in the first place.

Thanks for the vote and additional input @hyponymous
