Thinking about getting iPad 9 gen for Djay Pro

Want to get an ipad that dosen’t break the bank but still keeps Djay Pro running smoothly.
Since I never ever used Apple products before, is this fine for using Djay Pro?

  • Display: 10.2-inch Retina IPS LCD
    • Resolution: 2160 × 1620 pixels at 264 ppi
  • Processor: Apple A13 Bionic chip with Neural Engine
  • Memory: * RAM: 3 GB

Hi @djfredhaze, this iPad will run djay fine, but your Neural Mix Quality will be limited to 80%. This device also use a Lightning socket instead of USB-C, which I personally find less convenient for DJ use. If it were me, I personally would be looking for at least a 10th gen iPad to get the 100% NM Quality and USB-C socket. I hope that helps!

I’ve got a 10th Gen 128GB wifi only and it was £299 (GBP) new. Djay runs just great on it. I agree about having USB-C making life easier.

unsure what the cost of Ipads are in other countries…
but i believe the value is in the base model ipad air 5… especially in the 2nd hand market
as it comes with the m1 cpu chip 8gb ram and a measly 64gb ssd space and a usb-c port
this provides 100% neural stem quality… also works with AR glasses when paired which is a huge plus in my eyes

one might even make an arguement for the m1 mac mini 16gb ram model…
gauging both the m1macmini 16gb ram against the ipad air 5… the m1macmini… is far superior, but slightly less portable than the ipad air 5

Thanks for sharing @7nz

The technology moves fast.
Push the boat out and get the newest model you can otherwise you’ll always be playing catch up.
It’s worth it for djay pro on ipad. Can’t see myself ever going back to laptop.
