I canceled my Tidal subscription and added Apple Music. Can’t find anywhere if my collection playlist will automatically switch the source from Tidal to Apple Music. Currently still say Tidal so the songs don’t load up. Do I need to recreate all these playlists? Doesn’t make sense …

Hi @armincarden, your Tidal playlists are NOT automatically transferred over to Apple Music when changing subscription services. You either need to manually recreate them or use a 3rd party conversion service like TuneMyMusic or Sounddiiz.

Thanks for the quick reply Stak . Well, I am not talking about the playlist under the service (Tidal) I am talking about the ones all the way on top. (My collection) I thought these are reference links to the Tidal songs or local songs but not the actual songs . On other softwares they called crates? I already transferred my playlist to Apple Music. So in theory the playlist on top should reference the song on the service regardless of service? I am wrong?

Hi @armincarden, I spoke with our engineering team regarding this. Where possible, we do have some automatic switching as long as both streaming services have the track available, djay will try to remap them.

However, for Apple Music this will not be possible until the next djay update. TIDAL/SC/Beatport/Beatsource should all work though. Please note that you need to log out of Tidal first. Another solution is to import all the tracks from the Apple Music source Songs playlist → to a My Collection playlist. This will do a permeant remap where possible of TIDAL → AM. I hope that helps!
