For no reason, and not at the same place its start to skip song …

Hi ! its been a month, i have try averything and its still doing that ! In Automix, i have the same playlist in another computer and it doen’t do that.

Hi @Ludovicroul, sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. When creating new topics, please do not forget to answer the questions in our template with specific details about your setup not just “iPad” or “Latest Version”. This helps all of our community moderators to provide the most effective support to users with the utmost efficiency. Thanks!

Device Model (ex. 2020 iPad Air 4th Gen):
Version of operating system (ex. iOS 17.3.1):
Version of djay (ex. 5.1.3):
Hardware/controllers used (ex. Reloop Ready):
Hardware Firmware Version (ex. 2.7):

Normally, this happens when the song fails to load quickly enough. In such cases, djay will automatically skip to the next song so it can be loaded before the current song finishes playing. Seeing that you are using Tidal Streaming, this could be related to your internet connection or possibly the availability of those specific tracks.

  1. Are you able to load the skipped songs manually?
  2. Have these songs be pre-analyzed or played previously?
  3. What is the download speed of your internet connection?
  4. Are you using a VPN or proxy? If so, does disabling it help?

Sorry !

I use Tidal in streaming, All the song work, sometimes its take 30 song before starting to skip, sometimes is lower …

Thanks for the additional info @Ludovicroul. Please try analyzing the playlist before starting Automix to improve loading times.

You can also try reducing the Tidal Quality in the djay Settings>Library>TIDAL>Quality. I recommend using Normal.

Let me know if that helps…

Thank you ! First time i use the Analyse, i will see ! And what do you suggest for the audio buffer size ?

You’re welcome @Ludovicroul. The optimal Audio Buffer Size really depends on the performance of your computer. You’ll need to experiment to find the ideal setting for your hardware.

  • Lower buffer size = lower latency: This means a quicker response time, ideal for scratching and tight mixing, but could cause audio glitches on weaker computers.

  • Higher buffer size = more latency: This results in a slight delay in sound, but is more stable for less powerful systems.

  • Experiment and adjust: Start with a low buffer size and gradually increase it until you encounter noticeable audio issues.

I hope that helps!

Thank you so mutch!!! It work !!! Only with the verify option

You’re welcome @Ludovicroul. Happy to help!
