Traktor Kontrol F1 with DJay for iPad

I know it has been confirmed that the F1 will not work with DJay on iPad, but is this due to power requirements or the fact that the F1 is not MIDI-mappable by DJay for iPad?

I want to try using a powered USB hub to provide enough power to the F1, but if I get that right, will I be able to map the F1 to DJay for iPad?
