Traktor S3 + djay compatilibity ?

Good evening,
I’m having a party next Saturday and
I’ve tried to connect Djay to a friend’s traktor S3 following the correct procedure.
Nothing happens and traktor doesn’t appear in the midi menu.
What i can try to succeed

Hello yes I followed the procedure given by algoridim. The S3 flashes green which indicates the switch to midi mode. Once I connect the computer and start Djay pro no device appears in the midi menu.

Hi @Yan, sorry for the delayed response here. Thanks for the suggestion @Michael_Wisniewski - I thought for sure you were right on that one.

  1. Yan, can you please confirm if you are also using the power supply that came with the S3 and not running solely off of USB Bus Power?
  2. Are you connecting directly to your Mac with a USB cable or are you using a hub or adapter? If you are using one of these, please provide more details on the device and try connecting without it if possible. Alternatively, try a different hub or adapter.
  3. Which USB port are you using on the back of the S3, the USB-B socket or the USB-C (iOS) socket?

  4. Can you please also try a different USB cable?
  5. Finally try connecting to a different USB port on your Mac.
