Unchecked Reset FX on song load not respected

Hi @JohanMoritz, thanks for the details about your setup and the issue. The video is especially helpful.

  1. Does this only happen with that specific “Distance” FX and with Neural Mix routing applied?
  2. Does it also happen with FX1 and FX3?
  3. What about on Deck 2?

It happens on Deck 1 and Deck 2.
For FX2 and FX3 and also the instant effects.
FX1 is not showing this weird behavour.

Thanks for the additional info @JohanMoritz. I did some additional testing on my M4 Mac, macOS 26.3 and djay 5.6.2. So far, I am only able to reproduce this using the following Macro Down FX:

  • Landing
  • Stutter
  • Cooldown
  • Distance

I believe this is expected behavior with these specific FX, because they all result in the song essentially being muted when the parameter is set to maximum and FX tail finishes. These 4 FX are often used to transition out of a song and fully cut the audio. Allowing these to remain ON when loading the next song could result in no audio output which would be unexpected behavior. Please try selecting other FX and retesting.

Thanks @Slak_Jaw for the clarification, that all makes sense now.
When I set the Distance Effect to FX1 is will also automatically reset. (ignoring the uncheck reset setting).
So it seems to ignore FX that full mute the track or stem.
Echo will be left on, Echo out will be reset on song load.
Reverb will be left on, Reverb out will be reset on song load.

The challenge that I experiencing is to keep my external bluetooth MIDI controller “insync”
(showing the same on/off status for the FX’s) with Algoriddim DJay. For that reason I unchecked Reset EQ, FX and Tempo. So that my MIDI controller always show the correct status.
