Unmatched Gain and again & again

With latest update, auto gain doesn’t match as should be, even not close. Same as cue volume 2-3dB differences have on. Also cues volume slider doesn’t work, just do nothing.

Let me ask something, do you hear us? We have pay attention for lot of time to share issues, bugs, making videos about that, but at your end, you are not able to fix majority issues! We are subscribers, and we expect that, Djay (Pro?) with each updates, the app could be better and better!

Also sync, beat match couldn’t get the beat on the right way, thats OFF BEAT! And no, I do not make more videos about issues, I did enough. I have been payed lot of attention, but you didn’t respect your customers, not just me! You will slowly chase us to Serato loving arms.

I am also disappointed regarding the latest release (again …) … no pad mode integration, no jog wheel displays …

Hi @DJ-Z and @turbopussy, sorry to hear you’re not happy with the 5.2.10 release. Please note that 5.2.10 was a minor release - we will be releasing a major update soon which has a lot more improvements in it. Yes, we do hear you and I read every single comment in this Community personally. I understand your frustrations and I want to do what I can to help resolve any issues. Our development and engineering teams work hard to constantly improve djay based on constructive user feedback like yours.

DJ-Z, my apologies, but I’m not sure that I totally understand some of your issues as described above. Please help to clarify things below.

auto gain doesn’t match as should be, even not close

  • Can you please provide more detail here or link to an existing Community Topic if there is one? I am managing a lot of topics in this community so my apologies if I do not remember the exact issue you are referring to here.

Also cues volume slider doesn’t work, just do nothing.

  • as explained in the other topic these sliders in the setting only affect the headphone output when using Internal Mixer Mode.

Also sync, beat match couldn’t get the beat on the right way, thats OFF BEAT!

  • Same as above, can you please provide more detail here or link to an existing Community Topic?

Hi @Slak_Jaw , I know you do your best, don’t take it personal.

auto gain doesn’t match as should be, even not close

• auto gain of DJay can not able matching the right gain with previous track’s gain, it seem, the position of the gain knob been adjusting to the some position of the knob, I mean that, if gain knob of Deck A has +3dB, then Deck B will adjusting to the same +3dB.

Same as cue volume 2-3dB differences have on

• have been discussed, cue routed from original raw volume not from auto gained.

Also sync, beat match couldn’t get the beat on the right way, thats OFF BEAT!

• that is a new issue I’ve been recognized, hard to explain it in words, just OFF Beat,
same BPM, but the beat not matched, 1234 1234, other one 2341 1234

Hi again @DJ-Z, I have shared your comments in this topic with the team. Please do not take offense, but we are having a difficult time clearly understanding your English. My apologies. Would it be possible for you to enter your comments in your native language into a translator like chatGPT or Google Translate then repost them here? This may help us to more clearly understand your issues.

Our best guess on this comment is that maybe you want your songs to be loaded with your previously set manual gain values. If so, please enable this setting:

Or perhaps, you expect the gain knob on Deck 2 to always match the automatically set gain value on Deck 1 when using Autogain. If so, please note that Autogain is more complex than this. This tool doesn’t simply “sync” the gain knobs between Deck 1 and Deck 2. It analyzes the recorded volume level of the tracks and adjusts the gain so that the audible output of Deck 2 is close to Deck 1. For example, the recorded volume of Deck 2 could be much lower than the recorded volume of Deck 1. So the Autogain would need to be set higher than Deck 1 to ensure the output volumes are close. I hope that makes sense.

Again, I’m not 100% sure what you mean here, but it sounds like you may want to change your Beat Sync Interval from 1 Beat to 4 Beats in the djay Settings>General>Sync Mode>Beat Sync Interval. This will ensure that the bars are also in Sync as you described above: 1234 1234. I hope that helps!

Shure, I got you, I try to explain on a better way, but hard explain with words in my native language as well. Maybe I make a video capture, better than 1000 words. :)) Sorry for my english guys.

Thanks for understanding @DJ-Z. Yes, a video would be very helpful. Please note that you can now share video files directly in the Community if they are less than 200MB in size. No need to upload to Google Drive/Dropbox unless the file size is larger. Thanks!
