Documenting some video proof so when I can’t get it to replicate, I’ll have evidence I’m not crazy
When I either turn off my iPad or close and reopen Djay, the DAC assigned to cueing does not play any sound. But when I unplug and replug the whole hub into the iPad while Djay is running, it enumerates correctly.

I’m was experimenting with using this extra iPhone 11 I had laying around. I think it’s the oldest iOS device you can use that still has 100% stem quality.
I found a deal on a 12 pro with much more storage and can use the 5G network, I also had an extra phone line, and if you can deal with the smaller screen it’s perfect for mobile DJing. Found it on the marketplace for $75. Ultimately I’d like to find a deal on a 12 pro max to get the largest screen possible.
I’ve also been on the hunt for a small and affordable USB soundcard to experiment on really just bringing my iPad to dj with but have a quality audio output. Uh yeah also not interested in spending a hundred of dollars on a device like that.

I cobbled both DACs together and fed one into an amplifier circuit to get it to the right audio level for a mixer and then designed a 3D printed enclosure for everything.
After I get the Takeout Box launched, I have plans to fabricate a cheap multichannel USB interface w/ an integrated USB hub.

Hello again! Is this still on the engineers backlog for active investigation, or is it basically not fixable?
Hi @afursedon, can you please be more specific? There are a lot of comments in this topic.
Ah yes, you’re so responsive it’s easy to forget how many posts you’re replying to! Details below, thanks as ever.
Hardware: Gigaport eX soundcard
iOS 26.4.2 on iPad 11
Issue: 4 Deck mode will not output to the soundcard correctly. I would like to output the channels separately via the soundcard so that I can use an analogue mixer (as I prefer the summing on my Union Audio Elara to all in one controllers).
It will only let me select “Gigaport” for all decks if I plug it in when Djay is running, if I start Loopy Pro or similar first, Djay will then let me select all individual channels (up to 7/8 in 4 deck mode) but only outputs to channel 1/2.

Thanks for clarifying @afursedon. I just checked, and this is still on our engineering backlog and I don’t have any updates or timelines to share. It may still be fixable, but I can’t say more than that at the moment. Sorry that I don’t have more news for you…
No that’s great, I get that it might not be fixable. I’m wondering if it’s the soundcard itself or its interaction with iOS that’s at fault.
Kudos to your engineers for looking into niche user issues like this, it really is what sets Djay apart as a great product.
You’re welcome @afursedon. I’ll share more news when I have it.
