Using MacBook & iPhone/iPad both together with DJ controller?

It is possible to use both your mac & iphone or ipad together controlling djay pro 5.4 with dj controller?

Is like i want to use my iphone or ipad just to controll the Looper section alone?

Hi @Alex_Comla, this is not currently possible in the way you probably want.

However, if your DJ controller has an auxiliary or secondary line input you could connect your iPad/iPhone to it via a direct audio connection. Then enable Ableton Link to sync the devices together. Then you could, for example run your main djay session on the Mac connected to the controller via USB. The Looper could run on your iPad/iPhone and Link would sync the BPM. You would essentially be running two independent sessions of djay, but synced using Ableton Link.

Some controllers like the Mixon 8 Pro have 2 USB inputs and allow you to route them to individual channels as well. So you could, for example have djay on you Mac running to deck 1/2 and djay on your iPad running on deck 3/4. Again, you are running two separate sessions of djay so you need to use Ableton Link if you want them BPM synced.

Alternatively, you could use TouchOSC to allow your iPad/iPhone to be used as a customizable touchscreen MIDI controller for your Mac.

I hope that helps!

You can provided that the controller has a dual soundcard such as Rane One and One mkII, or Pioneer/Alpha Theta Rev 5 and the like.

Do some research on dual sound card controllers and see which fit good with Algoriddim software and you.

Hope that helps.
