Video mode not showing lyrics

Hiya brand new user to this software so please be gentle, i have a .wav file with lyrics attached in the video, but for the life of my i cannot get it to show in that middle screen of video, i’ve wired up a monitor and that screen shows on the monitor, but all i get is the visulisations, i have googled it and watched Justin’s video but it doesn’t really explain how to do it, if anyone can help please

Here are the video formats we support. It sounds like you are using an audio only format (.wav).

I ma not a geek, but isn’t it true that .wav files are audio-only?

Video mode in djay plays both

  1. audio (wav, mp3, flac, m4a,) displaying any of the inbuilt visualizers
  2. video (mp4, m4v, mov, avi(?), displaying the actual video. mkv files as well as 4K videos and higher resolutions do not play
