vjay does not work with Numark iDJ controller

I started using the vjay app on my iPad air recently (upgraded to ios 8.3).

My Numark iDJ Pro when connected with the Apple Digital AV Adapter (HDMI) sends both Audio/Video signals to the HDMI input, but then I lose control on the Numark iDJ controller, even though I use the additional power lightning connector on the Apple Digital AV Adapter (HDMI).

I could directly connect the Numark iDJ Pro cable (30 pin to lightning adaptor - original apple product) I could control the vjay app through my controller, but I cant take the video signal from the app.

How do I get around this issue? Please suggest.

Does this mean the only way to use the video and audio and still control it through a controller would be the DJAY Pro app on the Mac?

ditto with reloop beatpad, i shelled out 50 bucks for that adapter thinking it would work

So in other words you have to have apple tv? (Only airplay option i have seen).

Hi there,

with a connected controller the only way to send a video signal is vie AirPlay. We are sorry for the inconvenience but this is a restriction by the connector.

Yes unfortunately while being connected to a controller, Airplay is the only possibility so far.
