Weird loop sizes

I mapped the beat jump size to the same knob as the loop size, but then I started getting weird results for loop sizes. It’s like the base value was changed to 9 instead of 1.

Hi @kokernutz, personally, I find that mapping beat jump size to buttons usually works better than a rotary. I recommend that you you expand the Advanced Control Options for your Skip Duration (Rotary) mapping and try switching the Control Type: to one of the other Rotary options. If that doesn’t help, you can try adjusting the Speed as well.

I copied the existing row for the loop size. I would think since they have the same value range it should work identically.

Is there a way to fix this without having to restart djay?

Is this not a bug?

Hi @kokernutz, can you please share screenshots of the MIDI Commands for your loop length and beat jump size?

Regarding, resetting this issue when it does occur, if you select a standard auto loop size like 4 or 8, that should revert it back to a normal size and increments.

You may also want to set your Quantize to 1 and enable “Always quantize loops to the beat” in the djay Settings>Advanced.

Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!
