What do I need for pre-cuing ?

For pre-cuing on my Ipad 3, If I get a 30-pin to lightning converter then 30pin to composite cable and put in the 2 phonos out into my amp, can I then use the ipad headphone socket for my pre-cuing headphones?

The help section only mentions doing this with a HDMI out.
If the above won’t work what would happen if I got a HDMI to composite converter and put that in the amp? Would that give better sound ?

Hi Adam,

The AV cable does not work as an external audio interface. You need either HDMI or an external sound card, e.g. Griffin iMic (also included in the Help section).
