What is crossfader cutting mode used for?

Hi guys, I am new to djing/ scratching and it would be great if someone could explain the crossfader cutting mode to me? I have been looking everywhere for an explanation or a demo but cannot find a thing.
Thanks

Hi there,

the Crossfader Cutting mode is a crossfader curve setting. It changes the Curve into 3 segments.

Max Left - only deck 1
Max Right - only deck 2
In Between - deck 1 + deck 2 play in the same volume

Cheers,

Lukas E.

I’m not a scratcher myself but I do know it’s a mode to cut the music out quickly which is good for scratching. Where as the other mode is more blending, which is good for house, techno etc

So it sort of changes the sensitivity of the fader then? I kind of knew it was to cut out but didn’t know whether it was achieved by increasing sensitivity on fader or there’s something else going on inside there haha
