Why are not all keyboard keys assignable to mixer/deck/.. actions?

I want to assign keys from a Belkin Keypad to DJPro actions.

For whatever reason, some keys will not bind to a action, though show als PAD(key)…mixer…etc.
When tried, all I get is a standard Mac boing when striking that key.
7,8,9 will bind while 1,2,3,4,5,6 and '*, -, +" will not.
Other keys bind well, such as arrow keys and F13-F16.

What am I doing wrong?

In djay Pro 2 you can edit keyboard shortcuts and the keyboard shortcut layout in the Preferences.

Have you tried that out?

Yes I have tried that, I am familiair with that. It it weird that some keys just won’t work when assigned, even with prefix ‘PAD’.
