Summary of the issue:
I think the match feature is not selecting the right active deck and only proposes matching songs of deck 1.
How to reproduce the issue:
- Load two songs
- Start playing song on Deck 1 - match is showing songs related to Deck 1
- Mix towards Deck 2. I used the faders only, not the cross-fader. Match is still showing songs related to Deck 1
- Load new song on Deck 1 - match is updating its list of related songs of Deck 1
The screenshot shows Deck 2 playing (active), but the songs proposed are related to the Deck 1 song.
Hi @decurgia,
Thanks for bringing this up. Normally I always use the cross-fader when I am on the Macbook to switch the active decks and see the Matching tracks.
And -although the crossfader is disabled for the sound- I have to use it on the controller as well to change the active deck (I use Reloop Mixon 8).
So I think you are completely right when mentioning that the software doesn’t select the right active deck for the Match feature.
Hi @decurgia, thanks for the details of the issue and the screen shot. This is very helpful. I’ve passed this onto the engineering team for review and will report back when I have news.
Hi @DJ_Big_Blender, engineering was able to reproduce this issue and is looking into ways of improving this. In the meantime, this is less of an issue if either a MIDI controller is connected or external mixer mode is selected when the first song is loaded, as in those cases the crossfader will not automatically move to either side. As long as the crossfader never touches an edge we switch the active deck when the outgoing track stops playing.
